The Swaps Are Being Posted!

I  have seen some great ATCs!  If you would like to view the swapped ATCs, click on each of the July participants names and you will be taken to their blog.  As each participant receives their ATC, they will post a photo.  In some cases you will also see the ATC they sent out.  Some of us were finishing the ATC, as we were licking the envelope, so we may not have taken a photo of the one we sent.  Next month I am starting earlier.  I always say I work better under pressure. It's not too late to join us for next months swap.  We will match up partners the 1st of August.  The theme for August is orange.  When ever I think of orange, I think of the old knock, knock, joke that has the punch line, " Now orange you glad I didn't say orange again!"  How can I work that into an ATC?  Send out date is August 15th for the August swap.  We have had many new people join and we are thankful you take the time to participate.
Love to all,

Hi, it's me Wendy, I know I 'v quite but I'm still here......DID YOU SEE!

We now have a button for you to grab for your blogs, wear it with pride.
Debbie has been busy adding to the blog, we now have a counter to see how many people stop by, hopefully they will grab the button. Thanks for all of you who have posted about the swap on your blogs. I can't wait to see you creations.

I also want to say hi to our new swappers who will be taking part in the August swap, pop over and say hi to myself and Debbie and all the other swappers. We are one big family of ATC swappers.
Have a wonderful week
Hugs Wendy

Our Ranks Are Growing

We have had more new friends join us. We have also added to the list of helpful links. Please, remember to mail out your ATC tomorrow (the 19th). Yikes! I still haven't finished mine. After you have finished admiring the new work of art, you have recieved, take a photo and post it on your blog. You can then come back here, click on each participants name and you will be linked to their blog to view each others ATC's! Remember some of us (me) are new to this. Creating an ATC is like anything else, the more you make, the better they will be. Wendy and I are so happy each of you took time from your busy lives to participate in this swap. Remember the words from the top of our rule list.....HAVE FUN!!!
Love to you all!

The Blissfull ATC Swap Now Begins

We have ironed out the details. (We hope!)
You each should have recieved an email with your partners name and all the particulars.
You will have until the 19th this month to send out your ATC, since we are starting late.
We are swapping one on one and will be glad to accomadate any late comers.
Next month we will post partners on the 1st and you will send out your ATC on the 15th.
We are posting the themes for the coming months so, you can make your ATC up ahead of time, if you like. Or, if you are like me and need awhile to think about what I will do.
If for any reason you would like to opt out for a month, that's fine. As the partners rotate we can accomadate when you get busy and life happens.
We also may have someone that wants to trade with more than 1 person each month. If you will let us know we will see what we can work out.
It is fun to recieve little treasures in the mail and we want you to have fun making the ATC's. We all have different skill and experience levels, so do your own thing!
Please email to this address:
Love to all,

Good morning I wasn't going to post this morning but I have been reading some of emails, and some of you are worried... worried about how to make a ATC.
Here some of the questions..

Do I do the back of the card as well ?

You do need to put you contact info your name , blog http and if it has a title that too and also the number eg. 1/6 or 2/6. And if you want to draw on the back as well , then go for it , there are no rules...

I don't have photo shop can I hand make them?

Yes ATC's are about what you do, if you sow then you can make them from cloth and sow on them. If you are a stamper then you would stamp images. I work with paper I been told I have a paper addiction but that's something else... so my ATC are mostly paper. I'v seen painted ones, ones with cut out newspaper words. In ATC's anything goes...I not seen food one yet but I live in hope for a chocolate one.Mmmmmm!

So make your ATC of what ever you want , if it comes from your heart then we will love it. This is not a contest or an exam to see who can do the best, cutest. It is about sharing your work and your heart.... and having fun.

I looking forwards to seeing your creations. Debbie is going to post later on the numbers and remind you about addresses. If you have any more questions please feel free to email us and we will try to answer as soon as possible. Hugs Wendy & Debbie

What are ATC's or Artist trading cards, you ask? Do you remember when your kids or even your husband collected small cards with pictures of famous baseball players or pokemon, well that is kind of what a artist trading card is. It's a small card the same size as one of those cards but where baseball cards are mass-produced these small cards are individually hand-made by artists like you and they are traded to other artists.

You could say you hold a tiny work of art in your hand. Now I heard about these cards when I arrived in the States but never knew how to trade them, but that's before I started blogging and it has opened a whole new group of would-be artists who are just waiting to trade... so get out you paints, pens, papers, anything and join Debbie and me in trading your pieces of art.

We are going to have a monthly theme. July is going to be "Sisters" as I met Debbie through the bloggerette sorority. If you would like to take part then leave a comment saying you would like to join us. Be sure to include your blog address and email. We will contact you with a list of addresses... then you just have to make your cards and we will start trading.....It easy and fun.

We would like to keep the swap quite simple so we will try and keep rules to a minimum, the aim of the swap is mainly to have fun!

1. The swap is only open to USA based participants. Sorry but maybe later we will open it to wider areas.

2. The ATC must be 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches (regulation ATC size)

3. The ATCs must be sent in an envelope with the correct postage.

4. You can use any media to create your ATC unless specified in that month's theme.

5. Please make sure your ATC is sturdy enough to withstand posting, ATC holders or clear plastic covers can be used.

6.Remember to post your ATC on your blog for everyone to admire!

7. Please sent out your ATC on the 15th of the month.

There are the themes for each month so if you want you can get ahead.

July - (Sisters). please have you cards ready to sent out on the 19th so everyone receives their swap before the end of the month. Sorry for the rush but next month you will have until the 15th.
Ausgust- (orange)
September- (leaves)
October - (dark)
November -(open what ever you want to send.)
December -(Angels)

I hope you will join Debbie and me. It is going to be FUN
